Landscapes, Selections from the State Collection

33 cypriot artists from the early 20th century to the present day participate in this important group show with works from Cyprus' most important public collection of art.

Featuring some very recent works by established and some emerging Cypriot artists, the exhibition also includes works by old masters of the 20th century, creating an intergenerational dialogue about the theme of landscape in contemporary cypriot art. Some inspired by agricultural landscapes, others creating new landscapes through their material and scale, the works in this exhibition explore the cypriot landscape both as a physical space and an intangible, and inevitably fractured, heritage.
